Jeffrey J. Steiner: A Forward Thinking Man
On a professional level, Jeffrey Steiner credits his business experience to his time with Texas Instruments. During an interview with The New York Times, Jeffrey Steiner said, "Texas Instruments was my business school, and it taught me a most important lesson, to be in the right business at the right time. Texas Instruments was growing so fast, if you were devoted to success, there was no way you could not grow with the business." The success and longevity of his career is no surprise. Early on, Jeffrey J. Steiner had to learn that sometimes in life, one must lose or fail in order to experience great success. Escaping Hitler’s Nazi invasion taught him this lesson. Jeffrey J. Steiner lost a home, but gained the resilience and perspective to move forward in life. He would not allow personal loss to stifle him from having the life he wanted to lead. His life would bring him loss and failure, but he still continues to shape those experiences into success and wealth. For example, prior to the acquisition of The Fairchild Corporation, Jeffrey Steiner was not the winner of a near $500 million bid. Rather than focusing on the perceived failure, he focused on the future. Jeffrey Steiner explained, "I tried something. I was not successful and like everyone else, I was disappointed. But my feelings don’t go further. I’m just going on the next project."
