Jeffrey J. Steiner: His Humanitarian Contributions

In addition to his business activities, Jeffrey Steiner has extensive charitable and cultural interests. He was honored as a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 1990 by the French Government, which also made him a Chevalier du Mérite in 1992. He was awarded the 'Medal of the City of Paris' for his contributions to the cultural affairs of Paris and was elected Commendatore della Repubblica Italiana for his work with the Boys' Town of Italy. Jeffrey Steiner is a Trustee of Montefiore Hospital in New York City, a Trustee of the Sutton Place Synagogue, a Director of the Antidefamation League, a Director of New York’s Finest Foundation, a Member of The George Washington University’s Global Advisory Board, and a Member of the Board of Yeshiva University, which awarded him an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters. Jeffrey Steiner is a Former Chairman of the Board of Governors of Haifa University and is Co-Chairman of the Turkish-American Society.
